France has won eight out of the past ten rugby matches against Ireland in the last decade. France's dominance of the Irish is way out of line with Ireland's records against the other nations. Ireland gave away penalties at the breakdown and Morgan Parra kept on kicking them, five in all before he gave way to Dimitri Yachvili.Holding on for victory gives France two victories out of two in its defense of the championship and Grand Slam it won last year. In France the greeting cards are called cartes d'amities. the first recorded Valentines greeting was supposed to have been sent by the Duke of Orleans, a Frenchman who was held prisoner in the Tower of London after his capture at the Battle of Agincourt in 1415.
